Meet Dr. Katie King

I am a Bay Area native and always knew that I would return to my roots to practice. I am committed to providing quality and excellent orthodontic care to my patients.  I spent eleven years at the University of Southern California completing a Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience, Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, and Orthodontic training, in which I also earned a Master of Science degree in Craniofacial Biology. During dental school I volunteered in the Philippines and Belize, providing free dental care to communities in need. I graduated from dental school at the top of my class and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society. After completing my orthodontic training, I became a diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. My orthodontic master's thesis was published on the cover of the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics.

I am passionate about upholding the high touch/high tech atmosphere in addition to the whole-patient approach at Ashraf Orthodontics. Working alongside Dr. Ashraf, I am focused on how orthodontic treatment can aid in proper jaw growth and development and can help promote healthy airway function.

I live in Tiburon with my husband, Ryan. In my free time, I enjoy hiking California's highest peaks, training for marathons, playing soccer, and skiing. While completing my Orthodontic training, I also served as head coach of the USC Field Hockey team. Fun fact: I have an identical twin sister!
